HOW TO TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS
Your measurements are taken to determine which size will provide the closest fit based on the designer's bridal dress size chart. We always recommend having a professional seamstress that will alter your dress take all the measurements. Please do not attempt to take the measurements yourself.

To determine accurate measurements, don't measure over your clothing. Your measurements should be taken while wearing undergarments similar to the ones you will wear with your dress. You should also wear shoes with heel height similar to what you plan on wearing with your dress.

Bust Size: Not your bra size! Take the tape horizontally around your back and bring it across your nipple line which is typically the fullest part of your bust (not under the bust). Your arms should be relaxed, down at your sides. You must wear a non padded bra when taking this measurement.

Waist Size: Take the tape horizontally around the smallest part of your waistline. Typically, it's an inch or so above your belly button and also known as the natural waistline.

Hip Size: Take the tape horizontally around the widest part of your hip across the hip bone.

Hollow to Hem: It is the frontal and vertical measurement from the bottom of your neck (indentation between your collar bones) to the floor. Please make sure you are wearing shoes with a similar heel height to those you will be wearing with your dress. Also take into consideration the fullness of your dress skirt. If your dress skirt will be full, please measure out at an angle to allow for the fullness. Most dresses come in a standard hollow-to-hem measurement, based on the size of the dress which varies from designer to designer.

How to read a size chart and select a dress size: Once you have your bust, waist, and hip measurements, please compare with the designer's size chart. It is important that you order the largest size that corresponds to your measurements. For example, if your measurements are:

Your bust fits a size 8

Your waist fits a size 6

Your hips fits a size 10

We would advise that you order size 10, and get the dress altered to fit your body. Wedding dresses are sized differently than regular clothing, so it's not uncommon to find yourself requiring one or more sizes larger than your normal dress size, but ultimately the decision of what size to order is always yours. If you fall in between two sizes, we recommend ordering the larger size.

All wedding dresses on our website are listed in "USA Dress size".
